The Whistleblower: interview with Kathryn Bolkovac

The Whistleblower is a film released in 2011 that uncovers a human trafficking ring connected to  members of The United Nations. This drama tells the story of Kathryn Bolkovac, a Nebraska police officer. In 1999, she is hired by the US private military company Dyncorp. The society has a contract with the UN to maintain peace in the post-war Bosnia. Once in the country, Kathryn Bolkovac  discovers that some of her co-workers are involved in sex-trafficking.

Despite the intimidation, she decides to reveal her information and will be dismissed from her job as a result. Kathryn Bolkovac was present at the Cornwall Film Festival to answer questions from the audience and signed up copies of her book: The Whistleblower: Sex Trafficking, Military Contractors, and One woman’s fight for justice.
